“ Last summer we drove thru the area and needed a bite to eat. I saw this place on Google Maps and had to try their aguas frescas. The girl was so nice, she sampled me a few different ones. Then ultimately I asked if we could mix the Horchata with the Blue Ocean. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I love Horchata, but really wanted pineapple. The employee hadn’t heard of that combo before, but said she had to try it. I’m guessing she did, because now “Blue Frost” is on the menu you’re welcome. I also had the Hatch Green Chile Enchiladas. Everything on that plate was so delicious, it brought me back to Mexico with my dad. I wish y’all had locations in central Texas. Will definitely need to make a trip out there this year! ”
“ First time there today and Michelle gave us excellent customer service and food was delicious! The pumpkin horchata was pretty good and the blue one also, not sure what is called but very delicious. I really liked that Michelle took time to go over to the tables and introduced herself and said if we need anything to let her know. Thank you Michelle! ”
“ Best burritos ever! My husband and I have gone to numerous eateries from Albuquerque to El Paso in search of a good burrito. Matteo's is, by far, the best in terms of taste! They are reasonably priced and offer a 15% military discount. Matteo's is our go-to place and we hope they stay in business. Las Cruces is a cute town, too. ”
“ Hands down the best quality food. That hits all the flavors for each item. I don't feel like i'm eating green chili everything ”
“ First time here. We were in town for work and just saw the signage on the building so we decided to eat here. What amazing food. The drinks are great! Prices seemed a little high but over we were very happy. ”
“ I always want to make another review when I visit again if things improve and since I can’t make a review for the Alamo location I’ll do It here. The Alamo location made up for last time and the staff, food and experience was great. ”
“ We recently moved to Arizona and no longer live in Las Cruces, but we were visiting and well we sure do miss Matteo’s! The food was just like we remembered and so was the service, one of the owners came out as usual and checked on everyone including us and as always was super nice, they are all genuine, humble down to earth people! I remember when they first started selling food the mall I had my business at, she used to always bring me Green Chile enchiladas or a smothered burrito, and was still super nice back then just as her and her husband are now, it’s awesome to see how far they have come with 3 full restaurants now and hopefully more to come! Hopefully they open one in Arizona soon, they would do great out there! ”
“ Really great addition to restaurants on University Ave. Matteo's serves delicious Mexican food at reasonable prices. Their agua frescas are the best in town. The carne asada burritos and tacos are delicious. The service was great, staff is friendly and our order was out really quick during their lunch rush. They have expanded their menu from their food truck days. Definitely recommend this food and their Blue Ocean drink. ”
